Requiem is Korn distilled. Released on 4 February 2022 via Loma Vista Recordings, their 14th studio album is their shortest and most focused in years — eight tracks, 28 minutes, no filler. It debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and was met with strong reviews from fans and critics alike.
Background & Recording
Recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, Requiem was made under unusual circumstances — and those circumstances shaped the record. With touring off the table, the band had time to be deliberate, stripping away anything that didn't serve the song. The result is one of their tightest, most cohesive records.
Produced by Chris Collier and the band, Requiem also marks the last studio recording to feature founding bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, who parted ways with the band after its completion. His departure — later revealed to be linked to his refusal to tour internationally during the pandemic — closed a chapter in Korn's history that had lasted nearly three decades.

Key Tracks
Start the Healing was the lead single — a melodic, groove-driven track that showed Korn embracing accessibility without sacrificing weight. Forgotten opens the album with a statement of intent: heavy, atmospheric, and immediately arresting. The title track Requiem closes the album on a haunting, elegiac note that feels like a genuine farewell to an era.
The album also connects directly to Korn's current moment — their new 2026 single Reward The Scars, created in collaboration with Diablo IV: Lord Of Hatred, is the first new music since Requiem, and picks up the thread of where this album left off.
Legacy
Requiem proved that Korn still have something to say — and the discipline to say it concisely. It's a record that rewards repeated listening, revealing new details with each play. As the band's most recent full-length, it's the essential starting point for anyone coming to Korn fresh in the 2020s.
