Queens of the Stone Age have done it again. Out of nowhere, Josh Homme and co. have dropped "Easy Street" — their first new track since 2023's Times New Roman — and it's unlike anything you'd expect from one of rock's most reliably unpredictable bands.

Featuring the voice of country-rock firecracker Nikki Lane, Easy Street is a shambling, sun-bleached psych-country ballad that sounds like it was recorded in a single afternoon and is all the better for it. Here's the full breakdown.

What Is Queens of the Stone Age's New Single 'Easy Street'?

Released on 15 July 2026 via Matador Records, Easy Street is QOTSA's first studio release in nearly three years. It's a deliberate departure from the band's heavier, more structured output — a loose, human, imperfect thing built on acoustic guitars, hand-claps, and a seasick swirl of untethered synth.

Frontman and guitarist Josh Homme produced and mixed the track alongside QOTSA bassist and keys player Michael Shuman. The result is something that sounds like a demo — intentionally so.
