About Queens of the Stone Age
Queens of the Stone Age were formed in Palm Desert, California, in 1996 by guitarist and vocalist Josh Homme following the dissolution of Kyuss. The band's lineup has evolved over the years, with notable members including Nick Oliveri, Dave Grohl, Troy Van Leeuwen, and Mark Lanegan.
QOTSA's music is characterised by its hypnotic grooves, layered guitar work, and Homme's distinctive baritone vocals. Their 2002 album Songs for the Deaf — featuring Dave Grohl on drums — is widely regarded as one of the greatest rock albums of the 21st century.
