About Bob Marley

Robert Nesta Marley was born on 6 February 1945 in Nine Mile, Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica. He formed The Wailers in 1963 alongside Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer, and went on to become the global ambassador of reggae music. His music blended reggae rhythms with Rastafarian spirituality, political consciousness, and universal themes of love and liberation.

Bob Marley passed away on 11 May 1981, aged 36, from cancer. His legacy has only grown in the decades since, and he remains one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 75 million records worldwide.
