The Story of Korn

Korn's self-titled debut arrived in 1994 via Immortal/Epic Records, fusing metal with funk, hip-hop, and raw aggression in a way nobody had heard before. It was abrasive, confessional, and completely unlike anything else on the radio. Critics didn't know what to do with it. Fans absolutely did.

Their breakthrough came with Follow The Leader (1998), which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and spawned the era-defining single Got the Life. Alongside Limp Bizkit, Deftones, and Slipknot, Korn made nu metal one of the biggest genres on the planet by the turn of the millennium.

After a mid-2000s commercial dip, Korn reinvented themselves — experimenting with dubstep on The Path of Totality (2011) and returning to their roots with The Nothing (2019) and Requiem (2022). In 2024, they played their largest-ever UK headline show at Gunnersbury Park, London, to 40,000 fans.

In April 2026, they returned with Reward The Scars — their first new music in over three years, created in collaboration with the Diablo IV expansion Lord Of Hatred.
