About Sublime

Sublime were formed in Long Beach, California, in 1988 by vocalist and guitarist Bradley Nowell, bassist Eric Wilson, and drummer Bud Gaugh. Their music was a joyful, sun-drenched fusion of ska, punk, reggae, and hip-hop that captured the spirit of Southern California.

Bradley Nowell passed away from a heroin overdose on 25 May 1996, just two months before the release of their self-titled major label debut. That album went on to sell over 5 million copies in the US alone, and Sublime's music has continued to find new audiences in the decades since.
